Please plan on joining the Wisconsin Chapter of the American Fisheries Society at their annual meeting to be held February 7 – February 9, 2012 in Marinette, Wisconsin. This is the 41st annual meeting of the Chapter and we will be having a joint meeting with the Michigan Chapter. We will be gathering at the Best Western Riverfront Inn in Marinette for three days of talks and interactions.
Conference Theme:
Location & Registration: The meeting and socials will be held at the Best Western and we have held a block of 75 rooms for lodging (located at 1821 Riverside Avenue, Marinette, WI 54143). Reservations can be made by calling 715-732-1000, ask for the Wisconsin AFS meeting rates. The rate for all rooms is $70 per night. The rate of $70 will be honored with a state or federal purchase card OR if you have a letter from the department or service stating you are attending for work. Make sure you mention this at the time of registration.
Registration for the meeting will start in late November with more detailed information on the program coming in January. Registration for the meeting is mandatory and will be $70 plus $10 annual dues. For this second time, members will be able to pay online. Students will be offered a discounted rate of $45. Registration costs include a Tuesday evening reception, dinner on Wednesday and lunch on Thursday as well as food and refreshments for all breaks.
Early registration will conclude by the end of business on January 18, 2012. After that date the fee will increase by $20, so make sure your registration is on time.
Abstract deadline is December 31, 2011. Make sure you have your abstract in by that date so the meeting can be properly organized.
